Breaking News: This Week at the DFT: Public Speaking, A Boy Called Dad

Those of us who missed the July 9 screening of Murnau’s  1926 masterpiece “Faust” still have time to schedule in this week’s wildly eclectic film selections.  The homage to New York and the UK (“From Britian with Love} continues with Martin Scorsese’s documentary “Public Speaking”  July 8 and 9th at 7 pm and July 10 at 2pm which features Fran Lebowitz as only Scorsese could capture.  “A Boy Called Dad” is the UK contribution screening on July 8 and 9 at 9:30pm, directed by Brian Percival…….oh and a heads up for next weekend’s marvelous W.C Field’s film “It’s a Gift” the 1934 classic recently honored for the 2011 National Film Registry….see you at the DFT
