This Week at the DFT: World on a Wire

November 19, 2011 No Comments

Ranier Werner Fassbinder’s  World on a Wire has been restored in all its 1970’s kinky glory for this weekend’s screenings at the DFT (November 18 at 7:30, November 19 at 7pm and November 20 @ 2pm)…this  212 minute film was way ahead of its time, with the tale of cyberworld antics and Matrix-like questions of reality.  Fassbinder was a pivotal figure in German New Wave Cinema (with Herzog and Wenders) and died tragically at the age of 37. …..Grab a white Corvette(you’ll understand when you see it) and join us at the DFT!
