Beast of the Southern Wild: Sunday March 3, 2013

January 30, 2013 No Comments

Join us at the Bloomfield Public Library on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 1-3pm for an exciting program featuring:  Beasts of the Southern Wild.

Director’s Chair:  Diane Geiger

Psychoanalyst:  Mary Adams

Academic:  Jacalyn Harden

This is a poignant film about child’s attempt to gain control over an environment that is dangerously loaded with adversity.  There will be ample discussion of the film aspects of this fascinating film as well as an examination of  Hush Puppy’s psyche.  A cultural anthropologist will discuss the connection between this film and Django Unchained (that’s right!)  There will be time for Q and A, so head to the Bathtub and row over to the Bloomfield Library!
