  1. This is sooooo hard to answer. Do I choose the very very best 3 films of all time (yikes) or the three that I like the very best? (they are not the same for me).
since I don’t think I have the credentials to pick the three very best (you know what most say anyway: Citizen Kane, Vertigo, Sunrise, etc), I am going to list MY top picks(ones I can and have seen over and over and over):
    1. Wings of Desire by Wim Wenders
    2. Distant Voices, Still Lives by Terence Davies
    3. Talk to Her by Pedro Almodovar
honorable mention: Purple Rose of Cairo by Woody Allen, Melancholia by Lars von Trier,Umbrellas of Cherbourgh by Jacques Demy

  2. Robert MacDonell says:

My favorites; the first four are not in any particular order:

    1. The Godfather
    2. Apocalypse Now (Redux)
    3. The Sheltering Sky
    4. The English Patient
    5. A River Runs Through It
    6. Legends of the Fall

  3. I have to amend my desert island choices. I stand by the cinematic value of the movies I chose, but thought I would really want to lighten up a bit if I was going to be on the island FOREVER. So, if I was to pick a film to watch over and over, I would have to add “The Princess Bride”
    As You Wish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
