Cinetopia: June 4-8 (A Film Festival of Festivals) was remarkable!

May 8, 2014 No Comments

This year’s Cientopia offered events usually reserved for those attending Cannes, Toronto, Berlin, Tribeca and LA Film Festivals.  Appearances by Spike Lee and John Sayles and a host of films in Detroit and Ann Arbor (see my favorite “A Story of Children and Film” written above) lit our screens and provided local cinephiles with a film feast.

Special thanks to the Detroit Film Theater, The Michigan Theater and the host of sponsors who brought this event to Detroit.

If you missed it, stay tuned and plan early for next year!  In the meantime, keep an eye out for special summer films at the Redford Theater, the Maple and the Royal Oak Main.  And, of course, keep checking the DFT site for their summer schedule.

See you at the movies.
